PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS
-70 million years of volcanism,
-Mauna Loa is the most massive mountain on Earth occupying an estimated volume of 19,999 cubic miles.
-These flows, added layer upon layer, produced a barren volcanic landscape that served as a fountain for life.
-333,000 acres-here you'll find 150 miles of hiking trails through volcanic craters, scalded deserts and rain forests as well as a museum, petroglyphs, a walk-in lava tube and two active volcanoes: Maunaloa, which last erupted in 1984 and Kilauea which has been erupting since January 3rd, 1983.
HUMAN CHARACTERISTICS
-The arrival of humans - first Polynesians, then Europeans - and the plants and animals they brought with them drastically altered this evolutionary showcase, this grand natural experiment.

- Some of the parks purpose is to serves as beauty of the world and everyone needs it
-also being a treasure house for nature suprimitives
b. What types of environments were among those shown and described in the segment?
-Volcanoes, Mountains, Lakes were shown in the segment
c. In what ways do those environments compare to your idea of a “park”?
-These environment are different because parks are not used for something natural anymore. My idea is having a playground in a random area not having a lake or mountain to climb nearby.
d. Which of those environments would you like to know more about?
-The environments which i would like to learn more about would be volcanoes
